Guest Speaker - Theresa Robichaux, Clerk of Court

Theresa Robichaux is a native of the Bourg community and a resident of Houma. She is a 1974 graduate of South Terrebonne High School and attended Nicholls State University.

Theresa was elected the Terrebonne Parish Clerk of Court in 2011, becoming the first female Clerk of Court, as well as the first newly elected Clerk in nearly 50 years. She is also the first female official elected to a parish wide office in the history of Terrebonne Parish.

Her career in the Clerk’s office began in 1977 in the criminal department, of which she eventually became supervisor. Later, she went on to serve as minute clerk for all judges of the 32 nd Judicial District Court, giving her the unique knowledge and involvement of nearly all aspects of the Clerk of Court’s office. She is also the President of the Parish Board of Election Supervisors. In what little spare time she has, Theresa enjoys traveling, reading, and volunteer work with local charitable causes. She is the proud parent of two children, Stephanie and Craig.

With nearly three decades of experience, Theresa is honored to serve the people of Terrebonne Parish and she anticipates bringing more technological advances to the office. As always, Theresa strives to ensure superb customer service and efficiency, but most importantly, to always serve with integrity.

Quote for the Week

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.

-- William Arthur Ward

SEC Gifts

Anyone that took a child's name for the SEC party, please bring the gift to this meeting.

There was a boy named Johnny who would hang around the corner store. The other boys would pick on him, saying that he is stupid. To prove it, they would offer him a nickle or a dime. He would always pick the nickel and they would make fun of him, saying he picked it because it was bigger.

One day the store clerk asked Johnny, "Why do you always pick the nickel? That's why they make fun of you. Do you choose it because it's bigger?"

Johnny replied, "Well if I stopped picking the nickel they would stop giving them to me, and I've made $20 so far!"
